Windows 10: Recycle bin emptied unexpectedly

Something has been emptying my recycle bin without warning. I normally visit it periodically and remove any files that have been in it one month or more. I have been working every workday for the past month and deleting files at a normal rate, but now the oldest remaining file was deleted at 1:31 PM on January 17 -- less than two days ago.The obvious answer is that I overfilled the recycle bin and Windows removed old files to recover space. Empty Recycle Bin Tip

Add Empty The Recyle Bin to right click on your desktop (Works with XP & Vista)


Just Copy the the text below to notepad and save the file .reg (tip.reg) click on the file and there ya go!

Empty Recycle Bin Tip

I don't get it. Isnt it as easy as just right clicking the recycle bin and pressing empty bin...?

 

Recycle bin will not empty


I used a file synchronizer to get rid of a bunch of images and the program sent all the small files to the recycle bin. Anyway, there must be a thousand small file in my recycle bin that will not empty. The "empty recycle bin" begins the process by listing all the files, but it just keeps going in circles and will not empty.
