    Reference by pointer crash

    Hi all,

First post here so let me know what else is needed.

I've been experiencing a constant crash with the stop code being reference_by_pointer.

I've updated all drivers that I can think of, uninstalled and reinstalled windows and can't seem to find a fix.

I've noticed that it mostly happens when I'm closing tabs on chrome. Also happens sometimes when closing out programs from the bottom right hidden icons on windows 10..

Frustrated from the whole problem and curious if anyone has any insight or how to figure out the issue.

    :)

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

  3. Pointers

Points are simply a value (address) that "points" to a value. It has no extra information about what it is pointing to (hence the danger). When using arrays/indexers, the operating system knows this is a collection that is this long and is of this type. Any operation that steps outside of those constraints is caught and handled. On the other hand, if a pointer so much as points to the wrong address, all the values will subsequently be wrong.

Pointers are faster but more risky.

    pointer size

    Hi,

    Open PC settings.

Step 2: Choose Ease of Access to enter its settings.

Step 3:Click Mouse, and choose new pointer size and color in the options.

Way 2: Change Mouse Pointer size and color in Mouse Properties.

Step 1: Click the lower-right Start button, type mouse in the search box and select Mouse in the results to open Mouse Properties.

Step 2: Tap Pointers, click down arrow, choose a scheme from the list and select OK.

    Hope it works

    Thank you
