Windows 10: Reg tweaks that work in 1903 are causing endless loop in 1909

I have a lot of registry tweaks that are ran during a clean install. They have worked without issue on Win 10 1903 and previous builds. I was trying to make an unattended iso with Win 1909 using the exact same registry tweak file and when I try a clean installation it gets hung up on “Getting ready” for well over an hour then restarts and comes to the blue “Why did my pc restart” screen.

Now I tried creating a new unattended iso without the registry tweak file and it works just fine again, it’s only when I introduce the registry tweak file that it causes this, but the same registry tweak file does not cause issues in previous Win 10 builds, just 1909.

Is there anyway I can pinpoint which tweak is causing this issue? I have hundreds of tweaks that run during a clean install so it’s impractical to start with 1, then add 1 at a time until I find which one it is.

• Which version of Windows is installed on the computer?
• What did the HP supported suggested you to fix the issue?

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

 

Win 10 Pro 64 1809 to 1903 update stuck in endless install loop

Obviously the diagnostic startup was a flop - too many things dysfunctional and little point to pick them out and activate as bits fell over.

I can't find a media creation tool file for 1903 but that is the next obvious step - it was available mid April but got pulled, any idea where to find it now?

I did put up a report on the Feedback Hub, titled "1903 update fails with no error reported - endless download, install, restart loop". Seems there are a lot of 1903 update issues, but this happens every major release...
