    Regarding antivirus software on Windows 10


    Hello everyone,

    I'm not a geek so my question my sound dumb, I hope you guys will kindly help me.

    I'm using Windows 10 (Home version) on my laptop (ASUS TUF 705GE, 8GB RAM). I notice the memory usage is always above 40%. When I checked Task Manager, "Antimalware service Executable" was running and using more than 100 MB, only lower than my browser (Brave). It belonged to Windows Defender.

    I heard a lot of opinions about how bad WD is. I'm not sure about this and don't know how to check its efficiency. I want to ask if there is any more efficient antivirus which is better optimized in terms of speed, memory usage and safety.
