Windows 10: Regarding using a winodws 10 professional license key for upgradation

So I recently bought a new Lenovo Laptop and it came with Windows 10 Home (x64) pre-installed. In my old laptop, I had Windows 10 Home which I had upgraded to Windows 10 Professional. Since I wanted Windows 10 Home to be upgraded to Windows 10 Professional in my new laptop, I downgraded the version of my windows in old laptop to Windows 10 Home. Now, I tried using the same activation key for Windows 10 Professional in my new laptop and it shows me the following error:


'We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you do have a valid license or key, select Troubleshoot below (0x803fa067)'


Can someone help me out in this/

Questions about Volume Licensing Key for Windows 10 Professional

if I upgrade from Windows 10 to Pro, will I get Volume Licensing Key in order to install multiple PCs with same valid license key?

For example, I own an OEM edition of Windows 10 Home from Newegg. However, my parents and my brother wanted me to upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Professional for saving money via upgrading Pro Pack on MS Store. So if I install all 3 PCs with Windows 10
Professional, will I still be able to put same valid license key?

 

Windows 10 upgrade license

Hello guys,

I have 1 license of WIndows 8.1 FPP/retail license. I want to upgrade to WIndows 10, but I one thing is unclear to me.
If I upgrade, will WIndows 10 license be retail or it will "turn" into some sort of OEM license?

I ask this because I upgrade my PC, you know, more memory, replace HDD, and I intend to upgrade the MB and CPU to Kaby Lake platform sometime in the future, (and of course sell the replaced hardware)
This thing is not clearly mentioned anywhere.

Windows 10 upgrade license

The interesting question is that: the upgrade takes place before 29 of July. If I upgrade the PC (change the MB), and I transfer the Win 8.1 license to this new PC (cause 8.1 is retail FPP), will I be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free? Or a upgrade license must be bought?
