Windows 10: Regarding VS2019

I heard FSX: SE Steam Edition was made using VS2013, can it be made entirely on Visual Studio 2019 or does it require smth like Unity

MS VS2019 Community Edition not running

W10 x64 21H2

Try to launch VS2019 - it displays the splash screen for a short while and then the list of recent projects for a short while but before I can select one it closes *Sad. devenv.exe is not is the task list.

I ran the updater in case there was a fix to be installed but that didn't work *Sad

Hard to report a problem if it won't open far enough to start the problem reporting dialogue!

I uninstalled by using installcleanup -i and then reinstalled VS2017 and VS2019 from scratch.

VS2017 opened OK but died when I selected Help/Technical Support

VS2019 still fails to go beyond the splash screen.

I've managed to open a TS case with MS from the Visual Studio Installer feedback icon.

 

SSIS Created in VS2019 are not opening in VS2022

I get an generic (incompatible) "The application is not installed." error when I try and open any SSIS solutions that were created in VS2019 . The solutions still open fine in VS2019.

 

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
