Windows 10: Reinstall 7 on a new drive in old pc

I built my pc years ago with "OEM System Builders Pack" Windows 7 Home Premium on DVD. I still have the original disc and package with the product key sticker. I want to replace the old hard drive with an ssd and do a clean install not interested in upgrading to 10, etc. My dvd drive doesn't work anymore; Can I download the iso and install from a usb drive, or would it be better/easier to get a new dvd drive and install it with the disc? I shouldn't have any installation or activation issues, should I?

We want to know about the issue you're having with your recovery drive. Please answer the questions below:

• Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
• If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?

Using HD from old PC as data drive in new PC

I'm buying a Dell Inspiron 3671 with Windows 10 Home to replace an old Dell Inspiron 580s that's running Windows 7 Professional. I'd like to install the 1 TB hard drive from the old Inspiron 580s in the new Inspiron 3671 as a second drive to use as a data
drive only. What steps do I need to follow to accomplish this? (If there's a step-by-step guide out there somewhere, I could really use it.)

 

How to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive?

I use the external drive
for File History and have a lot of information there. I want to restart the File History process on a new drive and place the previous File History drive off-site.

Please suggest the steps to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive.
