Windows 10: Reinstall One Drive

I uninstalled One Drive from my Windows 10 as it would not sync. I downloaded the latest version of One Drive from the Microsoft site and when I try to install it I get the message "OneDrive is already installed" "Please uninstall it before installing this version" As I already uninstalled OneDrive, I am confused as to what is blocking the re-installation.

• Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
• If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?

We suggest creating a new copy of the recovery drive and then follow the steps provided by Andre Da Costa above this thread.

Hard drive/ OS issue

• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
