Windows 10: Reinstallation of Windows10

I have a fairly old Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows10. To try to speed up my laptop, I want to wipe everything and reinstall Windows but I do not have the CDs because the laptop obviously came with an earlier version of Windows originally My question is:- Is it legal and possible to create my own Windows10 installation CDs for this laptop? If not, what are my options?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

To troubleshoot your issue, we suggest doing these following troubleshooting methods:

Method 1

• Turn off your PC.
• Press and hold Shift then turn on your PC.
• Wait for the setup (set up fixes the problem automatically).

Method 2

• Create a media creation tool by following the steps in this

• Select your preferred installation option and wait for the process to finish.
