  1. Reinstalled several times still running into same error

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I've tried other hardware to make sure I didn't have anything faulty (reverting back to previous mobo and cpu) and tried different copies (from a different PC) of the OS files from the media creation tool itself to the iso. Reseating components multiple times and making sure connections are secured.

With this iteration of the reinstall, I have no source file for the dism.exe and tried to get the iso once more but my downloads won't go through. Is it possible that all my attempts with the reinstallation files have just been corrupted at this point? I also ran intel's cpu diagnostic tool and passed, memory diagnostic passed, CHKDSK also passed. The main problem is installing files and downloads constantly fail.

As far as Windows updates, all updates have been 'installed' and the only one left that is problematic and having more or less different error codes is the KB4517389 update.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Reinstalled several times still running into same error :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

  3. Run time error 6 overflow

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Please provide some additional information, so that we can assist you better.

    1. Could you elaborate how are you trying to run app?

Runtime Error 6 indicates that there is a software or hardware problem. Runtime errors can be caused by conflicts between two or more software programs, memory problems, or if your computer has been infected by malicious
    software.

I suggest you to follow the below mentioned step and check if it helps.

Step 1: Booting the computer in a clean boot state can reduce software conflicts and help identify the root cause of the issue. To do this, follow steps from this link

Note: I would like to inform you that once you select Normal startup under startup selection all the services and startup items will automatically be enabled. You just need to restart the computer to
    start the computer normally.

Step 2: Turn Windows Security real-time protection on:

    1. Select the Start button, then select Settings >
Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.

    2. Do one of the following:
      1. In the current version of Windows 10: Under Virus & threat protection settings, select
Manage settings, and then switch the Real-time protection
        setting to On or Off.
      2. In previous versions of Windows 10: Select Virus & threat protection settings, and then switch the
        Real-time protection setting to on.

    Hope it helps.

Reinstalled several times still running into same error

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

I'm running the latest drivers (358.87) and I haven't experienced any of those issues, I played cod 3 with no problems, offhand I'd say when you updated the drivers there was a error somewhere, most likely when installing
the patched driver, were any errors listed in the Install.cmd text output? My best suggestion is to reinstall the latest official drivers (358.87) and then reinstall the latest patched driver paying close attention to
any errors that might be listed from the text output from the Install.cmd.
