Windows 10: Reinstalling an upgrade version of 10

Discus and support Reinstalling an upgrade version of 10 in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; Windows update sucks thats why i had to try the upgrade from an ISO, which is classed as a clean install, wiping all previous product information....     There is an option to keep your files and settings during the upgrade, if you don't use that option it's clean install.

    I suspect in the latest build that Microsoft have included a tool that actually uses your valid Windows 7/8 product key to activate Windows 10, rather than having to use the in-place upgrade first, but I can't recommend this to people as I'm not 100% sure on it x)

    I done that from my win10 pro build(pre 1511) i had to disconnect the WLAN to stop the upgrade BSOD .When finished it was un activated tried my legit win8 key no joy. I performed certain measured to activate it and its now working. I have imaged this install on to the secondary SSD i have and made a repair usb

    Yes. Provided your Win 7 key is genuine and not in use in another computer.
