  1. Reinstalling the 'Mice and other pointing devices' driver for Windows 10 Surface pro 7

Hi, I was having trouble with my touchpad recently so I uninstalled the driver, and restarted the computer as I have done in the past which usually reinstalls the driver the touchpad. It has not reinstalled, and my touchpad is worse with responsivity issues and times when it will not work. I have tried all suggested fixes, including downloading the closest driver file directly from Microsoft, the only fix I have not tried is the recovery of the device as ideally I don't want to lose my applications. Is there any way to force my computer to reinstall the Mice and other pointing devices&

    :)
