    Greetings All,

    Ever since installing the last Cumulative Update (15063.1324), my desktop has been freezing up intermittently and my DisplayLink USB Monitor Adapter has been flashing on and off, again on an intermittent basis.

    So, thinking that there will only be (hopefully) one more Cumulative Update before 1703 reaches end-of-life on Oct 9th, i am thinking of reinstalling 1703 from the beginning via DVD made when it came out. My question is, can i install 15063.11 and use the standalone 15063.1324 file from MS catalogue to bring Windows up to date or is there a succession of CUs that have to be installed first??

    I'm hoping i can do it that way to more or less start fresh while keeping my docs and apps intact and, hoping that my computer hiccups will cease.

    Why does system about show version 1703 while version shows 15063 Build 15063?

    Hi,

    They are the same thing... the (1703) stands for March, 2017, which is the release date for 15063...

    If you open the "Run" command and enter WINVER, it may clarify this for you..

    15063 has various build updates which will add a .*** to the end of the build.

    The most current is 15063.502 which was released I think today...

    I have downloaded Original ISO from Microsoft website - Windows 10 Pro 1703 15063 296. My Desktop PC has version Windows 10 Pro 1607 14393 1066. I want to upgrade or re-install Windows 10 Pro to version 1703 15063 296 with the downloaded ISO file. Please advice me how to go about it.
    I have created with the ISO, one bootable DVD for this purpose. . I have also downloaded another file KB4016871 -if I need it for update.
    Please advice me step by step
