Windows 10: Reinstalling windows without a disk?

So where to start I believe I have a corrupt copy of windows. First it started with a reboot loop and upon booting into safe mode I found I couldn't use any windows functions such as the start up menu, Microsoft store, internet explorer, so on. I then attempted trying a repair under the advanced options on the recovery menu as well as a system restore point and a fresh install. All of these have returned stop codes and failed to execute so at this point I feel my only option is a fresh install via an external source of windows 10.


My copy of windows 10 was upgraded from an 8 copy quite some time ago. So I'm unsure how to go about securing another valid copy to execute this process. Is there a way to say boot explorer off a flash and install it from the Microsoft servers? Or something like that? Or is there a solution I haven't tried to save this?


Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated and if any other technical information is needed I well do my best to provide what I can. Thank you to any individual who reads this / can help with this issue.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Reinstall Windows?

You don't need to reinstall windows. Go to the device manager and remove uninstall the processor and motherboard drivers listed. When you start the system back up you should be able to re-install the new ones. I just changed my mobo/processor Friday, everything is fine.

BTW I have seen some reviews that state practically no difference in using more than 2gb of ram.
