Windows 10: Remote Desktop Connection

Will Microsoft ever give us a option to log onto another home network computer without it having a password? Seems like if on a home network we should be able to do it,just give us a option Please. Remote Desktop Connection works well if password is on the remote computer,have a computer on home entertainment computer and I don't want a password on it. *cry

Remote Desktop Connection Manager and .vdp file?

I'd like to use Remote Desktop Connection Manager to connect to a remote desktop. However, I have to access the remote desktop through an .rdp file. Is there some way to use Remote Desktop Connection Manager with this file?

Try these

You can disable blank password restrictions by using a policy. To locate and change this policy:

• Click Start, point to Run, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK to start the Group Policy Editor.
• Open Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only.
• Double-click Limit local account use of blank passwords to consol logon only.
• Click Disabled, and then click OK.
• Quit Group Policy Editor.

Security threat is Remote access by some one else. If you are looking for remote access withing your home than its ok.
But if you are looking for remote access by internet from other location I wont recommend having a Blank password.

On a local network Unless you share your wifi password or some one has access to your network no issues... But if some one has access to your Local network he can access your computer remotely.
My suggestion use team viewer or Log me in or gotoassist for remote access .. they have this option of storing password for login or even reboot..

manish9009 I tried your suggestions in post #2,no luck making it work. When it connects to the local remote computer it logs on as other user,then disconnects after about 15 sec. Is there a way to connect to the computer name and not as other user?
