Windows 10: Remote Desktop Suddenly Stopped Working - Error code: 0x204

I've said it before - Windows is a serious pile of dung. Once again, Microsoft does not disappoint. For years I've been using Windows Remote Desktop - then it stopped working. Nothing Changed at all. Best guess would be an update that broke something. Once again I'm very busy with work - instead of working I'm bogged down with asinine Windows baggage.

No connection in windows Remote Desktop Error code: 0x204

I am using windows Remote Desktop for Mac. It was possible to connect to the windows vps, but now the following
error prompts: ''We couldn't connect to the remote PC. Make sure the PC is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access is enabled.

Error code: 0x204". Why would that happen?

I use my iMac (macOS) Catalina Version 10.15.7 and remote into my Windows 10 PC at work from home using our company VPN. This has been working fine until yesterday when I got:

Unable to connect

We couldn't connect to the remote PC. Make sure the PC is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access is enabled.

Error code: 0x204

I have reinstalled Microsoft Remote Desktop and the problem persists.

I can remote into my PC using my VNC Viewer without problems. However I like using MS Remote Desktop as people at work cannot watch me working (sensitive information)

I have called Apple Care and they have referred me back to Microsoft.

I'd be grateful if someone could post some steps that I could take to rectify this matter.

 

windows remote desktop error code 0x204

I receive an error code 0x204 when attempting to use windows remote desktop 10 on my mac book pro, this isn't always the case. This only happens when at home/on my home wifi. I can successfully connect when I use the same process but on my college campus/on
school wifi. Is there any solution to this so I can use the remote desktop at home using the program for my school project?
