  1. Remove possible *Managed by your organization* browser hijacker?

I keep seeing the “Managed by your organization” text when you open the Chrome browser’s menu, this is a home PC not part of any organisation.

I've followed the this guide https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-managed-by-your-organisation-virus/#uninstall as best I can. but I'm badly in need of advice on my next steps should be.

I've run Kaspersky internet security, Malwareantybytes, AdwCleaner with “Reset Chrome policies“ enabled,

AdwCleaner found and quarantined and restarted my PC:

    PUP.Optional.AmazonBrowserBar

    PUP.Optional.Banggood

I've also tried Reset and clean up in Google chrome settings to no effect.

Next steps included in the above guide install HitmanPro and and my last very last resort use Command Prompt:

In the Command Prompt window, type or copy/paste each of the below commands. Press “Enter” after each of the below commands.

    • rd /S /Q “%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicyUsers
    • rd /S /Q “%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicy
    • gpupdate /force

Should I simply steam ahead with the above command prompt?

    :)

I've removed viruses using Avast & Malwarebytes but still get browser redirects when trying to go to any Microsoft sites or update page. Any suggestions?
