Windows 10: Remove the parental control on my account

To start off I'm not fully read up on all the terms and sometimes I may repeat myself but it's because english isn't my first language and explaining is really difficult.


Now to my problem, basically I've just bought Forza Horizon 4 and I am trying to play it with my friends, but I can't add them and they can only add me but I can't accept.
When I try to add them the text (Translated from Swedish): Your privacy settings are blocking the use of this function.

And then I found out it was because a parent apparently had made me a child or something, I asked my dad about this and he logged into his hotmail account and he couldn't find me in his "family". So now I am wondering

a. What email is the parent email and

b. Can I please just get it removed

I'm 16 now and the age limit on a game is only a RECOMMENDED limit, not something you must obey after. Not in Sweden at least.

My parents don't have a problem with gta so I think they wouldn't have a problem with any game.


I've sat with this for nearly 2 hours, it's ridicoulous. It's ridicoulous how tricky this is and I'm really starting to get frustrated. Can I please just get it removed, thanks.

Parental Controls aren't working

Hi,

The issue could be because of corrupted files. I suggest you to delete the corrupted files yourself and see if it helps

to resolve the issue, please follow these steps:

1) Make sure your children are signed out of any monitored accounts.

2) Sign in with an administrator account and find the folder that contains the corrupted files.

There are two ways to do this. The easiest way is to enter the complete file path:

• 
  On the Start screen, type C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Parental Controls and press Enter.
  

• 
  If you’d rather open each folder individually, follow these steps:
  

a. Go to This PC

b. Open C:, open the
ProgramData folder, open the Microsoft folder, open the
Windows folder, and open the Parental Controls folder.

3) Delete all contents of the Parental Controls folder.

This will delete any corrupt files. Your settings will be downloaded again from familysafety.microsoft.com the next time you sign in.

• Click User Accounts.
• Click Parental Controls.
• Click on your account photo.
• Choose Parental control off.

The steps provided works only if the user account has full access to the PC.
