  1. Removing older app updates

Windows used to remove older app updates from the Store Library only about the last 2 weeks where shown, I have updates going back to June 15/23. Did something change and how can I remove the older ones... I have the filter set to show installed products only... if I uncheck show installed products only... app updates go back to April 4/16, that goes back a few laptops and Windows versions.I have tried...command prompt administrator net stop wuauserv go to c:\windows delete entire softwaredistribution folder then net start wuauserv if necessary and wsreset REBOOT But that made no diff

    :)

    I have tried...

    command prompt administrator

    net stop wuauserv

    go to c:\windows

    delete entire softwaredistribution folder

then net start wuauserv (if necessary) and wsreset

    REBOOT

    But that made no difference

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Removing older app updates :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

  4. Removing older app updates

Update of an app fails due to "licensing problems"

    Hello El-Gunsito - everyone.

For the symptoms you are describing, I would suggest the following steps:

    • Delete the app from the Phone by tapping and holding on the app and then tapping “delete”.
    • Go back to Marketplace and reinstall the app.
    If that doesn’t work:

    • Turn off the phone, remove the battery for 30 - 60 seconds, replace the battery and restart the phone. Removing the battery may not be absolutely necessary but I don't want to tell you to try it later Removing older app updates :)
    • Repeat the first 2 steps above.
Let us know if this works.

    Best regards.
