Windows 10: removing unwanted gmail addresses

Hi Guys

I am still finding unwanted gmail addresses in Google mail.

I was helped on here before and I did get rid of many, just need to obliterate the balance.

PS. I should have been clearer, my address is XYZ but if/when I want to send mail to myself, in the "to" row, this appears frenchma96xyz you will see the n has been left off and that is the one I want to remove.

Cleaning up gmail contacts

Hi Guys

I did a google asking how to remove unwanted gmail contacts and when list opened, I went to the 3 lined (hamburger) menu and deleted the unwanted ones.

BUT, when I open gmail/compose/To and type in any letter, I still get lots of addresses I have previously used.

Would welcome advice.

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type
the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly
allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.
