  1. Rename a web address link

I am trying to learn how to rename a web link. Using the instructions

    Here
The instructions didn't work verbatim but with some experimenting I did manage to achieve the results you see.
Is this a feature that has more to do with the browser than Windows 10?
Following the same instructions I achieved better results with ubuntu 16.04/ firefox??
Most online forums provide a tool to insert a link, this forum included, but.
How about if I wanted to rename a web link in an email ( I use gmail )? Or if I just wanted to rename a web link and save it in my saved links in my documents?
    All help appreciated.
My apologies if I have posted this in the wrong sub- forum.

    :)

  2. Renaming Tiles in Windows 10

My case was to rename the tiles of web links in Windows 10. First I looked at the path folder of links already present (for me: Program data, Microsoft, Windows, Start Menu, Programs). Then I opened with Chrome the page that I want to connect, I select
the address www ... and I dragged it on the desktop. Here I've renamed it the way I want. Then I copied it into the path folder (Program data.....). Then I searched it in the Start Menu of Windows 10, all apps, and once I found it, pin to start.

  3. Changing administrator email address

    Hi Nooren,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    1) How do you access the Windows computer? Do you use Microsoft account or local account?

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Open PC settings, and click/tap on Accounts on the left side.

    • Click/tap on your account on the right side, click/tap on the More account settings online link at the top of the right side.

    • If this PC or device is not a trusted device, then you will be prompted to enter and submit a security code sent to your phone or alternate email address.

    • In Internet Explorer, or your default web browser, click/tap on the Add or change aliases link under Account aliases.

    • Click/tap on Rename under your (primary alias).

    • Click/tap on Yes, rename my primary alias.

    • Sign in to your Microsoft account with your new email address and password. You can close the web browser when finished.

    • To Create a New Email Address to Use as your Primary Alias

      • Select (dot) Create a new email address as your primary alias.

      • Select if you want a new hotmail.com, live.com, or outlook.com address.

      • Type in a name you want, click/tap on Rename primary alias
    9. Click/tap on OK.

Hope this helps. Please reply to us with the status of the issue.

    Thanks.

to rename a favorite link - just right-click and rename - just like any other shortcut..

else, I do not understand what you are asking or trying to do..

In Fossamail (A Thunderbird clone) I just click on Insert then Link and in the resulting popup I name the link to whatever I want then insert the link itself which shows as the name I gave it in the email body. Not sure if Gmail has the same feature but look for something like insert link or insert hyperlink.
