Repeat BSOD

Purchased an Acer Nitro 5 in April of last year. For the last few months I've run into the strangest and most persistent problem I've ever seen. I have no idea if it's the hardware or Microsoft or what. If I have more than a couple windows open, or run a diagnostic, or sometimes do barely anything at all, it will bluescreen. I have no restore points, and I wasn't terribly worried about my files, so I tried a hard reset, which gave me either an error or another bluescreen. I've tried reinstalling windows from the website- Error. I've tried reinstalling the OS from a USB- 'System drive too small'. My updates are on and up to date. I've run every command prompt to diagnose and/or fix errors and image errors. I have tried everything I could think of that and has been suggested to me to fix this and no matter what the laptop will say there's an error or BSOD. I have no idea what I can possibly do and I'm completely heartbroken because I came into some money and was so unbelievably excited to finally have a gaming laptop and I can barely run YouTube and a chat app at the same time. I've treated the laptop itself like a baby and have been very careful with it.

2. Keyboard repeat delay and repeat speed

Hi Joseph,

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver. Follow the steps to uninstall & reinstall the keyboard driver from device manager.

• Press Windows key + X from the
Keyboard
and click on Device Manager.

• In Device Manager, double click on the
Keyboard.

• It will show you the device driver name, select that device and then right click on it.

• Click on Uninstall button.

• Restart the computer, the drivers will get automatically installed on your Windows 10.

• Repeat the same for Mice and other pointing devices.

Hope it helps.

3. Multiple BSODs since Windows 10 Creators Update

Hi Carl,

In most cases, blue screen error is caused by faulty memory, corrupted device drivers, or faulty hardware. For us to provide the best resolution possible, we would like to clarify the following:

• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to avoid repeating the steps that you've already performed?
• Have you tried the troubleshooting steps suggested on this thread? If yes, what are the results?

We're looking forward to your reply.

Still can't reproduce. Could you please post the exact BIOSes that produce the issue?
