  1. Repeated "Not Responding"

    Hi guys!

Recently, I've been facing a lot of "Not Responding" errors. It usually happens when I turn on my laptop and try opening a file/folder. I open it, click on something, it barely highlights, then "Not Responding" appears on the title bar out of nowhere. I click the window again, a sort of translucent white screen appears over that window and after 5-20 seconds, it starts working again, but the frequency is too high! I've been told that my system might have gone slow due to some heavy apps or due to some virus, but I've tried fixing both of them. There are no extra apps, added by me, that exceed the size of a GB, except Microsoft 365, but I do have a lot of movies, more than 150 GB of them. Windows Defender says there is no threat. Multiple anti-viruses have scanned my PC, but the same result, every time. I've also considered disabling automatically changing backgrounds. Please suggest what else could I do?

    Help will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sincerely,

    Vansh Sharma

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Repeated "Not Responding" :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

  3. Keyboard repeat delay and repeat speed

    Hi Joseph,

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver. Follow the steps to uninstall & reinstall the keyboard driver from device manager.

    • Press Windows key + X from the
      Keyboard
      and click on Device Manager.

    • In Device Manager, double click on the
      Keyboard.

    • It will show you the device driver name, select that device and then right click on it.

    • Click on Uninstall button.

    • Restart the computer, the drivers will get automatically installed on your Windows 10.

    • Repeat the same for Mice and other pointing devices.

    Hope it helps.
