    Hey;For a bit over a week now, the first several times a day that I turn on my computer, it can last anywhere from less than a minute to up to several minutes, before it freezes and becomes totally unresponsive. There had been no issues prior, no recent hardware changes, not recent software, application, or driver updates.The first event prior to the several freezes a day was a BSOD over a week ago for an "irql_not_less_or_equal". After restart, I went and ran windows update and let it install the September update. I also changed my crash dump settings to hopefully acquire a minidump file to

    BSOD and freezing

    Yesterday I started up my laptop from hibernating and it freezes, after restarting several times I get a BSOD which freezed on the BSOD one time.
    After restarting again the laptop freezed at the Welcome screen.
    I have had the freezing before, it was gone for about 2 months.
    I did not install any new hardware.
    Now it seems to run fine again.

    But what is causing the freezing and the BSOD?
    I bought this laptop last January.

  3. Computer Hard Freezes Randomly - No Error logs or Memory dumps


    I posted on Sevenforums a few days ago regarding this issue:
    I was suggested to check for temps (all were normal) and perform a clean install of Windows 10 (I had upgraded from Windows 7). I had another hard freeze today similar to the ones I was having before. The issue is back and I'm unsure of what to do next. Is this no longer a software issue if reinstalling the OS was unsuccessful?

    Hi, I am experiencing repeated BSODs and crashes on my computer. It runs Win10.

    My computer specs:

    • Processor AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
    • BaseBoard Manufacturer INFINITY
    • BaseBoard Product B450-A PRO MAX (MS-7B86)
    • BaseBoard Version 4.0
    • Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB (2 * 8GB)
    • Graphics Card NVIDIA 2060 SUPER
    Full history:

    • 2 weeks ago I experienced a boot loop (computer constantly loaded into WinRE). To fix, I reinstalled Windows 10 from USB boot media.
    • Since then, I have experienced regular crashes and BSODS.
      • The most common crash is a ‘freeze buzz’ crash, where my computer screen freezes, and any sound playing out of the speakers is replaced by a buzzing noise.
      • Occasionally, the computer monitor simply goes black.
      • The other most common event is a BSOD ‘IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL’ error.
      • Other non-IRQL based BSODs are displayed above.
    What I have done to try and fix/diagnose:

    • I ran Memtest86; it returned a Pass; no issues.
    • I checked PSU voltages; they are within 0.2V of voltage specs.
    • I updated my graphics drivers to the most recent version.
    • I updated the chipset drivers to the most recent version.
    • I’ve run SFC and CHKDSK with no issues noted.
    • I attempted to run Driver Verifier on all drivers to catch the computer going BSOD, but no luck so far.
    It’s possible that hardware is the cause of this, as there are multiple types of crashes occurring. I’d like to rule out issues with drivers or corrupt files first. If that can be ruled out I will take the computer to a shop to repair.

    Other information that may be worth mentioning:

    • I currently cannot access GeForce Experience. The error when I try to open it is 0x0003.
