Windows 10: Repeatedly failed win 7 pro upgrade to win 10 pro

I've tried to upgrade my win 7 pro 64 to win 10 pro 64 for years on and off. I saved the WIN 10 ISO 1909 and thought that I would try again before the end of support. It kept failing until I tried to use anytime upgrade using my win 7 pro license key. Time was running short as it needed to set a restore point. By 2340 hours Tuesday the 14th I had 20 minutes left to upgrade. The restore point took ages - by the time it finished I had 3 minutes to upgrade using my 7pro licensee key. Just as I entered it, I thought I was going to have a win finally but, no. I missed out by 2 minutes. The upgrade dialogue changed, asking me to insert a win 10 pro key now. That means that I'm now

being forced to buy a win 10 pro license even though the incessant issues of never being able to upgrade weren't my fault and never rectified by Microsoft.

To whom, and how, do I complain about this?I've been cheated by Microsoft and want to request a license key for a product win 10 pro I should have if not for Microsoft's inability to allow my machine to upgrade per their promise when I bought win 7 pro. I know that I'm not alone here after the ubiquitous search results for failed update.

The issue “DOWNGRADE TO WIN 7 ULTIMATE and UPGRADE TO WIN 10 PRO” is unanswered. The suggestion to refer to the link

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-specifications does not answer my query as well. I knew the prerequisites of upgrading to Win 10 from either Win 7 Ultimate or Win 8.1 Home as I have read the min. requirements/machine
specifications to upgrade directly either from the aforesaid OSes beforehand. The issue is whether from Win 8.1 Home downgrade to Win 7 Ultimate and from thereafter upgrade to Win 10 Pro possible without technicality issues. Nevertheless, since I cannot wait
for either a reply to the abovementioned issue (or my reservation to upgrade from Win 8.1 Home), I then gathered/downloaded bits and pieces of probable drivers for my machine, formatted my HDD (1TB) for more than 18 hours, clean install Win 7 Ultimate SP1,
activated using my previously purchased license and ran Windows afterwards, ran updates until repetitive error (around 25 KB updates failed to install many times) popped up during tiresome cyclic updates process. Fed-up with the errors after failed tries to
source answers from Microsoft Community, I tried my luck by upgrading to Win 10 Pro. After couple of days, viola, I have upgraded to Win 10 Pro finally, whew! Now I am running this machine with Win 10 Pro for a couple of days now, being up to date and running
very well. Hopefully no problem/s will arise.

Win 7 pro to Upgrade to Win 10 Pro

Long story. Several months ago upgraded from win 7 pro to win 10 pro.
Everything fine until BSOD a few days ago. After many hrs of trying to fix with no luck I decided to do clean install of win 7 again and then using Media Creation Tool downloaded and created what I thought was a Win 10 Pro ISO disk.
Used disk and loaded win 10 to pc. Things again fine except have the “Activate Window” message and that’s when I discovered the ISO was Win 10 Home.
Why didn’t the Media Creation Tool create a Win 10 Pro ISO and how do I now get the Win 10 Pro ISO.

 

Will the free upgrade be only the HOME version or will it upgrade Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro.............

I am running Win 7 Pro now and it has taken a lot of time to stop missing XP Pro........(still love it).

When the free upgrade of Win 10 comes out will it be only for Win 10 Home or will it upgrade a Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro...?
