Windows 10: Reset of Windows 10 Home - and product key now will not work

Good Morning.


yesterday I was unable to get any kind of wifi or internet connection via my laptop, so I did a reset of Windows 10 Home, as no options were highlighting for us, in the wifi section.


Now , I have the product key , (taken from the registry) but the product key will not work.


I am getting this error message, from online help


0x80070422, 0xC0000022,0xC0EA000A


I bought my laptop pre installed, and the product key is not visible in any of the stickers on the underside of the laptop, so I used a registry finder to find the key.


I tried ringing support to help, as once before, when I replaced my motherboard on my home pc they were able to assist me over the phone, but, my call gets transferred and then drops out . I think it would be because of the time zone ?

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

Now that I have finally upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10 will my Windows 8 key work with a fresh install of Windows 10?
