Windows 10: Reset windows and lost data

I reset my computer without backing up the content library on FL Studio which has all of my recordings. I made sure to reset but to keep my files and FL Studio wasnt even one of the programs the reset listed would be deleted. When i did the reset i downloaded fl studio and opened up a session that i saved and immediately noticed that none of the recordings were there and that i had made the biggest mistake of my life by not saving the folder containing all the recordings. I immediately did a recovery hoping it would bring me back before the reset but it had only brought me back to immediately

I'd recommend you to try using a different USB cable with it and see if that will help your system to detect it without it disconnecting.
I'd also suggest you to go to Disk Management and see how the drive is listed there. It won't hurt to check up on the health and SMART status of the HDD by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. How to recover the lost messages?


1. Re-create your mail folder hierarchy by dragging folders into place in the Folder list. Note that any folder you have created to group sub-folders but that does not itself contain messages will not appear in the Folder list and so must be created again.
2. Re-download the list of newsgroups from each news account.
3. Reset your subscribed newsgroups and download messages again.
4. Reset synchronization options on IMAP and newsgroup folders.
5. Edit any message rule that moves or copies messages to folders other than the Inbox.
These are the steps from which you can get the lost information back.
