    Resetting Admin user name and password


    Hi all, my son took over my computer when he went to college; it's been over two years since I've had to use the admin information to use setup.exe that I've forgotten the password to access it. When I try to leave the password blank and hit yes or no, it brings me right back to the original screen. How do I reset this? I'm trying to avoid doing a factory reset. He is using Windows 10 and operates thru his university on IE, not Chrome or Firefox. Thanks in advance!

    admin password?

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

    Linksys password recovery

    Installed Linksys router a week ago and both user name and password are admin.
    Hope resetting works for you.

    I don't think it is. Default is usually;

    User Name: (Blank)
    Password: admin

    or

    User Name: admin
    Password: admin
