  1. Resolution setting. Everything is magnified so big I can't navigate to change it back.

    Hello all,

This is for a Dell laptop Windows 10

I was messing around with the display settings to make it fit my TV and I changed everything I could see and then I changed something that I can't recall what it was labeled, but it said "not recommended" As a last ditch effort I changed it. I had the options typing in 100 -500 I typed 500.

Now when I try to change it back, I can only see a zoomed in PORTION (not the whole thing) of my desktop. I can only see a little bit of my task bar and if I open a settings window, I can't look at the whole thing, only part of it so I can't select any options.

If I need to reset the laptop to factory settings, I can do that, nothing valuable on it.

Just a side note. Holding ctrl plus whatever keys hasn't helped. I've tried all those things. This is a settings issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. Resolution settings and Magnifier

yes, I have been using both the magnifier and changing the resolution settings. I just asked about causing any problems changing the settings all the time.

  3. Screen Resolution too big

    Hello,

Firstly, try to install all the available Windows Updates and check if it fixes the issue.

I suggest you to change the screen resolution settings and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key and type Change Screen Resolution and click on the option listed.
    • Under resolution try changing the resolution settings.

Also try to install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website and check.

Hope this will fix the issue, if not let us know with the updated status and we will be happy to assist you further.

    Resolution settings and Magnifier

Unusual question. I use a 43 inch UHD 4k tv for a computer monitor. Running a mid to high end desktop with Windows 10 Pro. I play a lot of Pogo games and with the high resolution of the tv at 3840x2160 the game window is regular size but the actual game
room is postcard size and I have to sit close and squint to read the chat. I tried using the magnifier set at 200% , but it only magnifies one section of the desktop and I miss some notifications because the taskbar is not visible unless you move the pointer
to the bottom of the desktop screen. Recently I have been going into the settings in Win 10 and changing the resolution to 1920x1080 to play the games and then change the resolution back to 3840x2160. I have to do this 5 or 6 times a day. The question is,
will this have an adverse affect on either my desktop or my tv constantly changing the resolution or using the magnifier to make the screen bigger?
