Windows 10: resolving 403 error

hi,I am trying to update drivers via a driver update software, but I got the following error message HTTP resource acess error occured, code = 403. Please look at the screenshot. What can I do to resolve it?

Microsoft Edge Error HTTP 403

I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

• Does this happen only with Microsoft Edge? Did you check with other browsers?
• Did you make any changes prior to this issue?
• What are the troubleshooting steps you have performed to resolve the issue?

I would like to inform you that 403 response generally indicates one of two conditions:

• Authentication was provided, but the authenticated user is not permitted to perform the requested operation.
• The operation is forbidden to all users. For example, requests for a directory listing return code 403 when directory listing has been disabled.

As of now, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1:

I suggest you to check if you get the error when you try to sign in to your
twitter account sign in page through In private window.

• Open Edge browser, select More (…) (At top right corner) from the address bar.
• Click on New In Private Window and check if you get the same error.

Step 2:

You may try to clear the browsing history in the EDGE browser and check if it help.

• Open Edge browser, select More (…) (At top right corner) from the address bar, choose
  Settings.
• Click on choose what to clear under clear browsing data.
• Check all the options under clear browsing data page and click on
  Clear button.

Windows Phone Internet Explorer 403 handling

Hi Julia,

Why would you even think that browser history or resetting would fix it? It is quite obvious that it is "working as intended" according to the default behaviour someone thought makes sense. Without thinking too much. They made the same mistake on desktop
versions of the browser as well, "friendly error messages" hiding important info about the errors, but fortunately on the desktop there are settings to disable them. So I'm asking if there are similar settings here. And I'm suggesting that MS developers should
add them if there are none.

Do you know of any phone where the behavior of the browser with 403 errors is not like I described it, to suggest that it is a problem local to my own phone, to try to resolve it by reset or whatever?

Or do you just suggest these steps to all sorts of problems no matter what they are about?

For the record, no, those steps did not help with the issue.
