Windows 10: Restore a corrupt user profile Windows 10

A few days ago I shut my computer down and turned it on, and when I did, I saw that my user profile was corrupt, and I had been given a temporary account. I shut the computer down a few more times after that, and also shut off my security program just in case, but nothing was fixed. Since then, I've tried the registry editor option and the command prompt option both offered by Microsoft as solutions, but I have no idea which one I should use, I don't know if they worked, and in general I don't know how to fix this.

There maybe a couple of reasons behind this misbehavior such as a corrupted system file. However, we would like to be able to verify which process exactly is corrupted.

• When you install, does it give you any form of error message when it fails?
• What other processes doesn't go through on the said User account?

Likhitha V's response on this thread. See if it applies to you. However,
just to give you a heads up. The steps are about creating a new user profile and deleting the current one. I suggest you back up your files so you may be able to transfer it. You can also find information about it on the same thread.

or Use Method 2 to Create a New Profile then copy the old profile to the new one.
