Windows 10: Restore Down Button is not working

Missing icons / buttons after System Restore

Hi Terrie,

To address your concern, we suggest that you try to undo the restore or pick another restore point.

Please follow these steps to access system restore:

• Right-click (or press and hold) the Start button, and then select Control Panel.
  
• Search Control Panel for Recovery.
  
• Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.

Start Button displaying but not working


The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?

• What is the current Build and Version of your Windows 10 PC? To know these information, follow these steps:

• Press the Windows key + R.
• Type Winver.
• Press Enter.
• A small window will appear showing the current Build and Version of your PC.

• What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
