Restore Registry Backup With PC Not Booting

    Windows 10 (64Bit)

If a PC's registry is backed up to a USB flash drive and after messing with the registry, for some reason, it won't boot normally. How do you restore the registry's backed up image? If I run a LiveCD (USB), that will only run with the portable Windows. The host's registry will not be seen, right?
    Cheers

    :)

That's when the .reg file would come in handy. Note that it comes with Enable and Disable.

How to backup and restore registry using only win10 iso command prompt

In a link it suggested several registry troubleshooting steps for a Windows with black screen.

For Windows 10 1909 how do you backup and restore one registry change using a windows 10 iso command prompt?

If more than one registry entry is modified how do you backup and restore a second change?

In addition to modifying one or two commands how do you backup and restore the whole registry when the only access is via a windows 10 iso command prompt?

You can boot off of a Live USB and start the Command Prompt, you then find which drive letter the Windows drive is on, it may have changed during Recovery, and restore the registry backup in the command prompt.
If you created an Image file of your computer previously using Macrium Reflect or your favorite cloning software, you can just restore the image and be done with it
