Windows 10: Restore Status Bar at bottom of my Word docs

When a Word doc is in full-screen view the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen appears. When I reduce the size of the doc on screen, the Status Bar disappears. This has only started happening within the past day. Prior to this, I have been able to display multiple docs on screen simultaneously and retain access to the Status Bar. How do I reduce the size of a doc on my screen and retain the Status Bar?

Sorry, I've not read the entire thread, but if you're talking about the ribbon bar at the top of Word. It can be un-hide it by clicking Home and clicking the pin icon in on the right side of the ribbon.

To hide the ribbon click the ^ icon...




Ribbon hidden. To unhide click Home, and click the pin icon as shown in the first image.

This should be in Word Options. Click on the File menu and you'll see the link to them there.
- Do check the View menu as well in case the Status bar entry has been moved there.
- I'll have a look through my Word 2016 notes to see if I kept any Options details before I removed it.

Added later - my only note about the Word status bar indicates that it is on by default & that there is no option to turn it off. There was another thread on the subject Word 2019; Status Bar missing - TenForums in which the Word window turned out to have been extending below the screen so the status bar was merely not being seen rather than missing.
