  1. Restore Windows 10 March 2020

I cannot reinstall/restore Windows 10 on my Dell. When windows becomes very slow etc I have, in the past reinstalled the system without keeping any of my files, a nice new fresh start. This has previously worked a treat, but this time, after going in circles a few times I am told their has been a problem and nothing has been changed. After going in more circles I found I was being asked as 'Dell User' i.e. Administrator and for my Password. Needless to say my Password does not work and I have no longer any memory of even knowing a Dell User Password checked records. I tried the alternative as a current user but cannot access to reinstall.

This has never happened before with any of my laptops or any Windows versions. Reinstall has always been a simple and easily available remedy to clean up a machine and start working again.

It must be me but why does every Windows version or whatever seem to remove the simple, fast, easy solution? Often replacing stuff with a new extended process involving passing through more screens and taking more choices etc. Every computer I have ever owned has had an Administrator and me as a user. Up to this time reinstall has always worked, now it will not allow me to even reset keeping my files, never mind a full clean out/up.

Now I follow a process which doesn't allow anything, tells you there has been a problem, does not advise you what that problem was, then returns you to your original point. I get the security issues but not the utter complete waste of time. It usually took one working day plus in order to 'get everything out, put the clean stuff back in, the reinstall Office, Kaspersky, etc. Now I have spent some considerable time getting absolutely nowhere, bloody nowhere again.

Please will some really nice person help me out here? Not the usual, "when you entered the umpteenth screen did you see so and so, did your screen show .... etc, etc. Just a nice simple press this, do this, it will work!

Apology for my obvious 'tenseness' but this has happened so, so many times over the years that my coping layers are rather thin and suicide through Microsoft abuse seems a more attractive exit than Corona.

    Thank you

    :)
