1. In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, and then choose it from the list of results

2. In the Control Panel search box, type recovery.

3.Select Recovery > Open System Restore.

4.In the Restore system files and setting box, select Next.

5.Select the restore point that you want to use in the list of results, and then select

Scan for affected programs.

how to restore windows 10 to earlier restore point


I need to reset mt windows 10 computer to an earlier restore point. I've tried cortina but the directions for step 1 - to click on "all programs" in the left side bar - doesn't exist. I also tried searching control panel for "all programs" which offered several options, again, none of which work.

I would be eternally gratefull for any help.

Apparently, you can only go back to the earliest date available on the restore point list.





If you want Windows to save more restore points, you can adjust the maximum disk space used for system protection. The higher the disk space, the more restore points your PC can keep.





To configure the disk usage used for system protection, please follow these steps:

• Select the Start button, type Create a restore point, and then press
  Enter.
• If prompted, click Yes on enter the administrator password.
• Click Configure.
• Under Disk Space Usage, adjust the
  Max Usage slider according to your preference.
• Click OK and OK again to save the changes.
