Windows 10: Restore Windows 10 without passwords

Ok, so my work was bought out by a much bigger company. The new company did not need the computers we had so I was given one of them. This computer was connected to a domain which does not exist any more, it is also locked by an administrator account of which I do not have the password to. I would like to delete everything/ restore the machine so I can make my own account. No data on this computer needs to be saved. From the "factory" it came loaded with windows 7 but since was updated to windows 10...if that matters? I was quoted by a local computer repair place $60/ hr and they said it could take up to 3 hours... so this can be done? Is it possible for me to do this at home instead? Anyone know how to do this?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

• Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
• Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
• click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
  
  
  
• Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
• Boot up with your new HD.
