    Thanks for a quick reply jjegan.

    I did what you suggested and it worked.

    All the data in the phone was deleted after performing this operation. (I already took a backup though)

    Now, my question is by restroing the backup does this problem arise again?? Just wanted to confirm before I make a restore

    6300 virus!!!

    well the main reason for me to think its a virus is-

    it is showing- 'TALK TO PUNDIT-616' on the main screen when cell info display is on...

    i've restroed factory stettings bt to no use.
