Windows 10: Retrieve and Install Sticky Notes via PowerShell

I'm in the same situation as someone who posted the same question in 2017:

I'm able to list 145 applications, for instance:

PackageFullName : Microsoft.OneConnect_5.2006.1691.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

PackageFullName : Microsoft.YourPhone_1.20092.108.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe


But the Sticky Note application is not in the list.

It seems that something has changed since 2017 and it prevent the Sticky Note to be listed.


any other alternatives?


I see the app is still visible in the Microsoft Store.

Retrieve and Install Sticky Notes via PowerShell

Hi Matty,

Reinstalling an application via PowerShell needs an administrator access to continue. If you have administrator access, you can follow the steps below to install Sticky Notes using PowerShell:

• Open PowerShell with admin rights. To do so, type Windows
  PowerShell in the search box to see PowerShell in results, right-click on PowerShell, and then click
  Run as administrator option.
• In the PowerShell prompt, type the following command and press the Enter key:
  
  Get-Appxpackage –Allusers
  
  Scroll down and locate the entry of the app that you want to reinstall and copy the package name. Since you are looking for the Sticky Notes app, locate the Sticky Notes entry, and then copy the package name of Sticky Notes.
  
• Now, you will need to execute the following command to add the app:
  
  Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\PackageFullName\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode
  
  Replace PackageFullName term in the above command with the copied PackageFullName information from step 2.
  

If you do not have an administrator access to your computer, we suggest that you contact your IT admin to be able to install Sticky Notes via PowerShell.

So just some background information. The Windows 10 image (Enterprise - Version 1607) I deploy at my company has most UWP apps removed and the Store is disabled via group policy (Don't have permissions to disable the GPO).

Is there a way I can retrieve and install Sticky Notes via PowerShell?

1.- Open >> Sticky notes, when located on the taskbar (Right click on the option) >> Select: List of Notes, now check if your note is in that list.
