    my last pc was a samsung laptop. bought it in 2009, was using it until 2017 or 2018, when its hard drive broke. i couldve replaced the hard drive, but i didnt bother because other than gaming, i could do everything i needed to on my phone.

    that laptop had windows 8 installed.

    approx. 1 year ago i received a 2013 27" imac. great machine for casual internet use. using it right now.

    but now i am going to return to windows with an alienware desktop. and i guess i'm probably a bit out of the loop regarding windows.

    that 1 year showed me what i have with mac os that i dont have with windows. its really small things - like a convenient shortcut for full screenshots with cmd+shit+5 or partial screenshots with cmd+shift+4

    or a notes app where i have a little sticky note on the desktop i can quickly write something down on.

    multiple desktops and an overview of every app on the desktop that open right now (though i believe windows has these now too?) are great too

    generally, should i be aware of something with windows10? any specific settings i should activate? i read you can limit the cpu utilisation to 99%, which apparently helps a lot with performance?

    any other tips and tricks (is there a website maybe of subreddit specifically dedicated to that) i should consider looking into?
