    Right click slow after fully cleaning drive.


    So, a few days ago, I noticed there was some malware on my Windows 10 laptop due to a Chrome extension which I foolishly installed.


    I removed the extension, and double checked everything, but I wanted to make sure there was nothing left, so I did a full reset.


    It seems to be going good. The only problem is that the Desktop display is acting weird.

    Right-clicking was extremely slow only with the desktop, everything else is fine. And trying to add any of my old files onto the desktop has been a pain. Some of the icons’ art disappears for a short time too, showing the standard “no icon” look to it, if that makes any sense?


    I just wanted to see what you guys think could be the problem.

    fully clean drive

    After doing a "fully clean drive" in resetting pc, my sign in screen and name are still displayed. Why wasn't that removed, "cleaned " as well? Is it a hardware or software issue?

    Fully clean the drive

    I've been fully cleaning the drive for about 12 hours now and it's been stuck at the same percentage for ages as I left it over night is there anyway I can check to speed up the process or check if it's not even working anymore thanks

    Hi Tamina

    The 'Fully Clean Drive' will write zero's to every bit of your hard drive, that Index.dat will be overwritten and not recoverable
