Windows 10: Roaming folder desktop computer at home Windows 10?

Hello everyone

I have a laptop and a desktop computer. They are both on the same wifi. I use the same Microsoft user login on both. I have not created a domain.

I have the following questions:

Does my laptop and desktop computer share the same AppData\Roaming folder?

The data in AppData\Roaming, is it being uploaded online to a Microsoft server?

Did the AppData\Roaming folder also exist in Windows 7?

Besides Onedrive, is there any folder before and now in Windows, where files are being uploaded automatic?

transfer files between computers on a home network

I don't know why this is so hard to do but I would like to transfer files between a desktop PC running windows 10 pro and a laptop running windows 10 home. I would like to transfer files in both directions. Both computers are on the same home network and are connected wirelessly.

Could some one provide either specific step by step instructions on how to do this (I googled and found a countless list of instructions that don't work)

or a link to a reference.

I don't know if this is possible but it would be nice to see the computer sending the desired file in the explorer file manager of the computer receiving the desired file and then under the computer see a list
of shared files and folders.

Again, this seems like such a reasonable way of sharing files and folders. Shouldn't there be a simple way to do this?

 

Roaming folder's setting not loaded comepletely?

I assume you are talking about this folder:

c:\Users\Jianwei\AppData\Roaming

If so then these steps should fix the problem:

1. Mark the code line below, then press Ctrl+C to copy it.
2. Click the Start globe.
3. Press Ctrl+V to paste the code line.
4. Press Enter.
