  1. Robocopy and Macrium Reflect Image Extraction Problems

I am having a great deal of trouble extracting files from my MR image using Robocopy.

The last few days I have gained some experience with Robocopy in moving files between drives and directories.

Now I am attempting to extract folders with files from a MR image. This is proving much more difficult than drive to drive transfers. I have had some success extractmg shorter paths then the one below.

For the following I have tried variations such as adding *.* to source and destination, forward slashes at the end of destination.... None has come close to getting me past this stuck point.

The following shows where I am stuck. The folder gets created but no files are transferred.

I have a ton of files to likewise extract from across this MR image so I need some help building the needed skills.

Thanks for any solutions and guidance.

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    • Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    • Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    • click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    • Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    • Boot up with your new HD.

Robocopy and Macrium Reflect Image Extraction Problems

Loading an image (Macrium Reflect) of my C drive into a brand-new pc to retain browser settings, etc.

A few days ago I was told that to accomplish my goal I needed to use Macrium Reflect to take an image of my C drive, and then transfer the image to the new pc. I've done that, and would like to know if it's a simple matter of just transferring it from
my Seagate external HD to the new pc, so my browser settings, etc. will be as they are now...or are there any other steps I need to take in the process?
