Roku privacy policy - any way to block collection of info on network?

The new Roku privacy policy Roku includes this phrase:

and information about other devices connected to the same network

This may be legal, and we may no no choice about it (until strong privacy laws are passed), but it is still alarming. Is there any way to block a Roku device from scanning the rest of a home LAN?

    :)

    Roku screen mirror problems

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing all the steps you have perform to fix the issue.

To narrow down the possible cause of this issue, we suggest that you disable your anti-virus temporarily to make sure that it is not blocking the connection between Roku streaming stick and your PC.

We are looking forward to your reply.

    Hi Etcgl,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

If you are using Roku to mirror windows based device on TV, then follow these steps:

    1. Press Windows and
R key together on your Keyboard.
    2. Type Control and hit enter.
    3. Click on Hardware and sound> click on Sound.
    4. Click on Playback > check the particular device you are using.
    5. Right click on the device, disable and enable it again.
    If that doesn’t work,
I would suggest you to contact Roku support, as the issue is related to Roku.

Roku privacy policy - any way to block collection of info on network?

QoS Packet Scheduler - Blocked by group policy?

I am trying to make changes to a network adapter and install QoS Packet Scheduler. However, when I click to install I get "Could not add the requested feature. The error is: This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator." I am doing this as the administrator and I have no group policy that should be blocking this.

I am going to network adapter > Properties > under "Networking" I click "Install..." and select QoS Packet Scheduler. I do not see it as a list of already available options, which is why I need to install it.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!
