  1. Root a Smart TV (is it possible?)

The gist of it is: we can root android phones to get increased functionality at the cost of product support and the possibility of turning it into a fancy brick, but can we do the same to smart tv's, like what samsung or LG makes?

I got a samsung 4k smart tv a while back, and still love it, except when it has a firmware update and it installs apps that I can't remove like netflix, spotify, directv now (beta), etc..., and keeps reinstalling apps I CAN remove and don't want. I wonder if its possible to get root access in a way, and get these particular apps deleted, and keep them from showing up, so I do not have space for only one more app

I would really like if its possible, but will reluctantly accept if its nothing more than a pipe dream

    :)

  3. Smart TV

I have a smart TV connected to my network. It seems that every time I turn on my TV windows will list it as a new device. I regularly have to delete all these Smart TV devices, since after a period of time I can have up to 50 device listing for my TV.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
