    Rundll32


    Ever since I downloaded the windows 10 update from windows 8, my laptop was never the same!


    I had the laptop for over 5 years and now the CPU is running at 99-100 percent, with tons of windows host/rundll32 processors in the background, causing it to run so slow I can’t even do anything with it.


    I just want to get my photos and mementos off of the computer so i can factory restore it and sell it.

    Any advice to removing a potential trojan virus without harm to my photos and videos would be greatly appreciated.

    Rundll32.dll?

    Make sure to use an adminstrative command prompt.

    Try this: ICACLS "c:\windows\system32\rundll32.dll" /T /grant Everyone:F or ICACLS c:\windows\system32\rundll32.dll /T /grant Everyone:F
    Can't remember if it is with, or without, quotes.

    But, why do all this... try FileAssassin by Malwarebytes, if you are trying to delete the files, but be careful, if you delete the Rundll32.dll files your OS may take a cr*p on you.

    Yes, i tried those troubleshooting steps and I didn't found anything relating to the file (rundll32.exe)
