Windows 10: Running a game for an older version of windows in windows 10

Hi,

as you can probably guess, I'm attempting to run a game that was meant to be played on XP SP3, Vista SP2 and/or Windows 7 on windows 10. Its an install from CD game and I can't figure out how to do it. Any suggestions? The game is Star Wars: Empire at War - Gold Pack if it helps.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I suggest you to install the games in compatibility mode and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

1. Right click on the setup file and select Properties.

2. Select Compatibility tab.

3. Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.

4. Let the game install and then check the functionality.
