    Low disk space on Local Disk (Erunning out of disk space on drive E :)

    Running Windows 10 on Dell Inspiron laptop. I keep getting the popup Low disk space on Local Disk (Erunning out of disk space on drive E :).

    System info shows 42.6 free of 450MB

    I've tried the registry hack that Microsoft support recommends by creating a new DWORD Value but that didn't work.

    I opened the E: drive but says folder is empty.

    Suggestions?

    Low disk space on drive E

    Got a low disk space error for drive E. Have tried disk cleanup etc but does not delete anything. Most of the space is under 'other' but says can't display files. Help

    How to free up disk space on my E: drive?

    Thanks for your fast response.

    I followed all the steps but when I typed in "remove letter=E" and hit enter I received the following:

    Virtual Disk Service error:

    Assigning or removing drive letters on the current or pagefile

    volume is not allowed.

    Any suggestions to counter this?
