Windows 10: Running Windows 11 and the sound settings will not open. Windows Audio Audiosrv and Windows...

I have a TUF Gaming B450M Plus II Motherboard with onboard audio. All audio has stopped working and when I try to access the sound settings the settings window starts to load and then quickly closes. I do not have the services Windows Audio or Windows Endpoint Builder available! Not that they are not running and I can't start them, but they are physically not there as a service. All my sound drivers are up to date along with BIOS and Chipset driver. I suspect its a Windows issue but not sure of the best path to take at this time

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 / sound missing, restarting audiosrv brings the audio back

I have an issue with the sound going missing after the computer has been in the sleep state. All the audio devices seem fine, but no sound is coming out of the speakers or headphones. The solution to this seems to be restarting the Windows Audio Service,
audiosrv. It is running fine the services list, but just right clicking and restarting does the tricks. However, this happens on a daily basis and it's not very convenient to have to restart the service every time.

The computer is a new one, with an Asus motherboard and ALC877 sound chip, with the latest Asus supplied Realtek drivers installed. I've tried other versions of the drivers too, but to no avail.
