    Ryzen 2400G and Windows 1903 / 1909 stuttering issues


    Hello everyone. I wanted to ask if someone had experienced these symptoms on a Ryzen 2400G.

    After upgrading to 1903 from 1809 I had stuttering issues where the system would freeze up for 1 to 3 seconds every 10 or 15 seconds. Upgrading to the prerelease 1909 / 19H2 update didn't help. I use this setup for gaming so you can imagine what gaming was like if this happened with just the desktop and task manager running.

    Things I tried:

    • Doing a fresh installation of 1903. This was done a few months ago when the first fixes for 1903 were rolling out. It still had the same issues.
    • Disabling C states on bios.
    • Disabling boost frequency on bios and setting a 36 multiplier by hand.
    • Disabling HPET in Windows 10.
    • Updating all drivers.
    • Using a discreet GPU seemed to work, but the one I have right now (an old XFX ATI HD 5770) can't even get to the same performance I have with the iGPU.

    The only thing that worked to get rid of this issue was going back to 1809.

    I'm not really hurried to go to 1909 but I know that we are coming to a close in regards to support for 1809 so I want to look for alternatives. Also I'm planning on buying a discreet GPU at the beginning of next year which could potentially solve the issue.

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary device not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

    Hey,

    I've just clean installed windows 10. It is build 1803.

    Today awesome 1909 have launched. I want to update to 1909 but in settings it is showing me option to upgrade to 1809. My friend told me I have to upgrade to 1809, then 1903 and then finally 1909.

    I want to directly upgrade to 1909 without going through intermediate steps. How can I do this?
